An accomplished executive with 40 years of leadership in the North American Forest Products, Pulp, and Paper industry, Chris has a proven track record of driving profitability, operational excellence, and strategic growth. Chris served as Senior Vice President at Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM), overseeing a $0.5 billion division and leading seamless integration following RYAM’s acquisition of Tembec. As Executive Vice President at Tembec, he managed a $1.5 billion operation, optimizing production, securing government funding, and negotiating industry-first labor agreements. His expertise in cost management, facility planning, and market development has consistently delivered record-setting profitability, particularly in the paperboard sector. A results-driven leader, Chris has spearheaded major efficiency improvements, including a transformative turnaround at the Kapuskasing newsprint mill. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated economic downturns, championed safety initiatives, and built strong government and industry relationships. Most recently, Chris served as a Board Advisor for GreenFirst Forest Products, ensuring a seamless transition of acquired RYAM assets.
