Christel Fortin is the Manufacturing Services Manager at Kap Paper Inc., where she has worked since 2013. A Chemical Engineering Technology graduate from Collège Boréal, she began her career at Agrium Kapuskasing Phosphate Operation before transitioning to Kap Paper Inc. as a Process Engineering Technologist. She has led key projects in process optimization, energy reduction, environmental compliance, and product quality improvements. Promoted to Superintendent in 2018, she oversaw technical support, regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, and process efficiency. In 2022, she successfully led the restart of Paper Machine #4, managing a cross-functional team to complete equipment overhauls, workforce training, and funding programs. Christel plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement at Kap Paper Inc.
