Position: Supervisor – Electrical / Instrumentation
Location: Kapuskasing, ON – Papermill
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00
Requirements:
Language: English (spoken and written) and French would be considered an asset.
Education: University degree – Electrical or College equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support Health & Safety Program.
Provide electrical / instrumentation trades service to the Papermill, finishing room, and Stock preparation areas.
Provide shift E/I trades service for the entire Paper Mill.
Schedule, direct and supervise E/I maintenance personnel.
Ensure employees are trained to meet the technological requirements of Variable Speed Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Distributed Control Systems within the Papermill, Pulp Mills and Finishing Room areas.
Ensure all emergency breakdowns are managed in an efficient manner to minimize machine downtime.
Provide technical support and guidance to trades as required to resolve problems.
Maintain a communications program to keep employees informed regarding mill and department priorities.
Develop and maintain KPI’s for production areas.
Carry out established PPM (predictive and preventative maintenance) programs and recommend or initiate changes as required to improve E/I uptime performance. Foster a participative style of management and promote the Results Management Framework within the unionized workforce.
Advise/recommend changes or opportunities, outside direct area of accountability that will contribute to optimizing the short and long-term objectives.
Support compliance with collective agreement and sound union / management / employee relations.
Coach and mentor employees to ensure maximum performance.
Report to Superintendent – Electrical / Instrumentation.
