Position: EI Planner

Location: Kapuskasing, ON – Papermill

Salary: As per the collective agreement, hourly wage range: $39.07 - $41.12

 

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to those with 5 years’ experience as an E/I Technician or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tradesman in the electrical trades.

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, word and excel programs.

  • Good written and oral skills.

  • Results oriented, self-starter.

  • Ability to prioritize and deal effectively with many tasks at a time.

  • Good team working skills.

  • Willing to upgrade knowledge to required levels as dictated by EMS, CWB and RIR systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The E/I Planner is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and scheduling of all maintenance work, including preventive maintenance work for the crews.

  • The Planner effectively utilizes extensive trade or technical knowledge and broad field experience to develop job plans, then carry out the organizing and coordinating necessary to complete these plans and achieve the most efficient use of resources with minimum equipment downtime.

  • Organizes and coordinates jobs / orders material as required.

  • Schedules for major repairs and overhauls and maintains a backlog of shutdown work for the area maintenance crew.

  • Compiles and enhances accurate management reports.

  • Provides technical advice and counsel to both maintenance and operations.

  • Assists Supervisors as required.

  • Maintain accurate reports.

  • Schedules, organizes, and conducts shutdown meetings.

  • Secures Contractors.
