Position: Systems Administration & Field
Location: Kapuskasing, ON – Papermill
Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually
Requirements:
Language: English (spoken and written) and French would be considered an asset.
Education: University degree – Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Or College equivalent
Experience: 5+ years preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong understanding in change management, cybersecurity, and audit practices.
Responsibilities:
Field Support
Oversee the help desk system, manage incoming support tickets, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Configure, repair, and maintain computer environment by analyzing requirements resolving problems, and installing hardware and software solutions support computer imaging and deployment
Support mobile and desktop telephone environment.
Provide technical support and assistance in all areas related to information technology while resolving issues with direct guidance.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems by conferring with customers by phone, in person or remotely; both technical and non-technical.
Preventative maintenance on hardware (e.g. computers, switches, etc.).
Compose documents (e.g. SOP, practices, and processes, instructional, etc.) for the purpose of documenting events, standardizing, providing and/or requesting information.
Participate in on call rotation for after hour P1 resolution.
System Administration
Assist with managing and troubleshooting virtual machine infrastructure.
Maintain the on-prem server and communication rooms.
Provide support for network infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity issues and collaborating with the network team as needed
Manage Active Directory and its objects, including users, groups, distribution lists, and policies to maintain secure access and authentication.
Handle the provisioning and management of O365 licenses for users across the organization.
Cover and support others in the group.
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies and ensure availability.
Manage the purchasing and deployment of equipment.
Manage printers, copiers, and plotters.
Production and Process Control
Ensure IT production systems and functions are online are available to operations. These include PI, Proficy, Elixir, eWin, Autoline, operator stations (Winders / Wrapline), label printers, scanners, etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting production with priority.
Additional functions and responsibilities may be required to support ongoing operational and technical needs.
