Maintenance Planner

Position: Maintenance Planner

Location: Maintenance Department - Newsmill

Requirements:

• Mechanical Technician 5 years experience as a tradesman in the mechanical trade is an asset.

• Proficient with computer software.

• Strong written and oral skills.

• Results oriented and can research independently to add value to any job via critical information.

• Prioritizes and effectively deals with multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance work (including preventative maintenance).

• Schedules manpower for major repairs, overhauls and maintains a backlog of work for the area maintenance crew.

• Maintains accurate reports.

• Schedules, organizes and conducts weekly meetings.

• Secures contractors as required for equipment maintenance.

• Participates in solving safety and environmental issues, as required.

• Utilizes trade or technical knowledge and field experience to develop job plan.

• Carries out coordination needed to complete these plans and achieve the most efficient use of resources with minimum equipment downtime.
